Iain Macmillan foul mouthed carp angler
I have a son who recently joined facebook and added Iain Macmillan the professional carp angler from Stoke On Trent as a friend to try and get some tips, anyway a week later he was saying all sorts of rude words that i had never heard of so i asked him where he had heard that “on Iain Macmillans facebook page” he added so i went and took a look myself and to my amazement this is what i saw
now as a professional person that young kids look up to do you think this is acceptable ???? as a father i don’t, and have now deleted him from my sons facebook. What are your thoughts on this ?

Firstly if your son is offended or should be not seeing these words than I can assume he is under 18 and as such should not be on facebook. So as an irresponsible parent, your mess, deal with it!m

We have certain internet filters in place for our children to stop them visiting sites of a certain nature.
Also you are not getting my point, this is a professional fisherman that my child looks up too, just like Wayne Rooney in the football world, what would parents say if he allowed children to be friends on facebook then came out with the same sort of language. I know its his facebook but he is not making it private as he accepted my sons friend request whom he has never met. Also most of the 4500 plus friends he has are people he does not know (they know him) so as a professional person what are his intentions of doing this. All the guy does is swear and take the micky out of other people.

Ian is a bloke who works and goes fishing like the rest of us, if he’s good enough to accept your sons friend request and you or he doesn’t like what they see remove him but don’t moan about him. Its Ians private facebook page and he can say or do what he likes on there.
I’m sure that if you hunt through the “446″ friends in common with Ian your little angel has, you will find similar language if not worse, but these people probably are not high profile enough for you to get on your soapbox about.
