solent boat fishing – wher is best?
I am taking out a boat later toady to go fishing in the Solent. I hope to catch some mackerel or sea-bass. Can anyone tell me where I should go to stand the best chance? The tide will be on the way out when I go out (not the best I understand but it’s the only time I can go). Any help from local fishermen would be gratefully received. Also, what tackle is best? Thanks

Best beginner carp rod?
I want a 12ft carbon 2.5tc through action carp rod. Like the omni x carp (and in the same price range).
Wanted to know if there are any other options apart from this.
Also could someone recommend a reel to go with it. Any decent but cheap reel would do fine.
